I Need Old BOMA Standards!
In 2007 BOMA celebrated its 100th birthday. As part of the celebration, I prepared an illustrated history of the BOMA Standard. While I have originals or copies of most of the old measurement standards published by BOMA, I lack complete originals of the following BOMA publications:
- The original BOMA Standard adopted September 15, 1915 (not the 1925 re-print)
- The BOMA standard revised and reissued on December 8, 1952
I will pay US$100 to the first person to send me a complete authentic original in good condition of any one of these publications. Perhaps you or an acquaintance has a box in the attic or in a storage facility where a copy was left years ago. Now is the time to convert it to cash.
Before sending it, you must contact me to make sure that I have not previously committed to buy it from someone else, and to obtain my agreement to purchase it from you. I will not pay for, or return, copies of a standard that I have already committed to purchase from someone else, for incomplete copies, or for copies in poor condition. If you have only a reproduction (not an original publication) please contact me. I may pay for a good complete reproduction if I cannot procure a complete original publication.
